Literary Connection to the Land of Israel with Rachel Korazim

We are thrilled to welcome back from Israel master teacher Rachel Korazim, who teaches about Israeli and Jewish culture through the stories, poems and songs of Israel’s best writers.  Rachel will be presenting on the core Zionist narrative of Israel, which presents an unbroken and unwavering connection between the people of Israel and its land. True as it is, individuals have felt at times, doubts, pain and critique as they were articulating their particular attachment to it.  Rachel will touch on works by Yitzhak Shalev, Rachel, Nathan Alterman, Yehuda Amichai, Ephraim Kishon, Balfour Hakak and Amos Oz in painting a picture of this historical connection.  Rachel was our Scholar-in-Residence in 2015 and is one of our most popular speakers.  Her enthusiastic and engaging approach, together with her facinating subject, always leads to a memorable program.
