Bible Stories for Adults
Sundays, times listed below
with Rabbi Jonathan Jaffe and Scholar-in-Residence Rabbi Norman Cohen, Ph.D.
The Torah offers nuanced and complex narratives which offer a lens by which we encounter the world. Unfortunately, this literature is often taught on a basic level in Religious School, never to be revisited. This year, Rabbi Jaffe and Scholar-in-Residence Rabbi Norman Cohen, Ph.D., will lead an exploration of some of the Torah’s most famous and often least understood stories. Please join us in re-opening these tales of heroism, coming-to-be, failure and comedy of which Shakespeare would be envious (and regularly cited). No prior experience outside of what you learned in elementary school required!
