Social Justice Discussion Panel: Issues in Our Community

Social Justice Discussion Panel: Issues in Our Community
Wednesday, September 19 at 2:00 pm
with Rabbi Maura Linzer, Marc Landis, and Ellen Greeley
Beit Midrash (Library)

We will welcome Marc Landis and Ellen Greeley, co-chairs of Reform Jewish Voices of New York State (RJV), our movement’s advocates for social justice in the State of New York.
Over the past 15 years, RJV’s efforts on behalf of interfaith and progressive coalitions have included the “Fight for $15” increase in the minimum wage and “Raise the Age” criminal justice reforms, standing with communities of color in reforming the East Ramapo school district, and continued efforts to protect reproductive choice.  Marc and Ellen will discuss some of the critical social justice issues facing New Yorkers and explore how we can engage in this work.
