Continuing Hebrew: Understanding Prayers and Blessings

Sundays, please note times below
with Cantor Elizabeth Goldmann

The Hebrew of synagogue worship constitutes the building blocks of Jewish peoplehood.  Throughout the world, Jewish communities utilize our common language of Hebrew and the familiar structure of the synagogue service to come together in prayer.  At the same time, the Hebrew language can sometimes serve as a barrier to understanding the words and meaning of the prayer brook.

Cantor Goldmann will lead a semi-monthly program designed to be a continuation of the beginning Hebrew course taught at TBE in prior years.  We will begin with additional practice in Hebrew and then use our new skills to study the structure and meaning of the Jewish liturgy.  Students may choose to pursue a group B’nei Mitzvah later in the year.  Please join us for this enriching course.  RSVP to Jaclyn Dubray at [email protected].
