Kindergarten
Kindergarten
The kindergarten class is designed to be interactive, hands-on, and fun. We want our students to feel excited about being at Religious School with their friends. During this year, our students explore Jewish holidays, values, and the Hebrew language. Every week, our younger students begin by meeting their teacher, teaching assistant, madrichim (teen teachers), and other young students for a joyful Tefillah (prayer) in the Sanctuary. It’s always a fun way to start their Sunday with us.
Each week, students learn about a theme of the day, participate in an enrichment activity which typically has a physical outlet (music, gaga, or Krav Maga, etc.), create arts and crafts projects based on the day's topic, and end the morning by welcoming a mystery reader.
Kindergarten families are encouraged to take part in a family education session and a parent education session taught by a member of our clergy team. Additionally, Kindergarten families are invited to a shabbat dinner, followed by a student-led Friday night Tot Shabbat Service.
