The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern follows newly retired pharmacist, Augusta — nearly 80 and adrift — as she relocates to Rallentando Springs, an active senior community in southern Florida. There she unexpectedly crosses paths with Irving Rivkin, the delivery boy from her father’s old pharmacy and the man who broke her heart sixty years earlier.

About the Author

Lynda Cohen Loigman graduated from Harvard College and Columbia Law School. The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern is her fourth novel. It was a Book of the Month Club choice for September, an Amazon Editor’s pick for October, a People Magazine Book of the Week, and a nominee for the 2024 Goodreads Choice Awards in Historical Fiction. It is also a CBS New York Book Club Pick. Lynda’s novels are largely inspired by her relatives and her family’s stories. She has two grown children and lives in Chappaqua with her husband and her dog Winston.
