Creating Ceramic Red Flowers for October 7th Unveiling

Two Sessions at 7:00 pm: Thursday, September 5 & Thursday, September 26

This past spring, members of Beth El created ceramic anemone flowers (kalaniyot), which were placed outside our synagogue as a memorial to the victims of October 7th.  As we will be unveiling a permanent installation of these flowers this October 7th, we are opening the opportunity to work with local artist Yael Frenkel-Jaffe on additional flowers to be included.  All participants are invited to take part in these sessions:

Thursday, September 5 at 7:00 pm – Molding the flowers from clay, which will then be fired in a kiln
Thursday, September 26 at 7:00 pm – Painting the flowers

There is no cost for the program, however we do require advance registration so we can have the proper materials on hand.  We prefer participants attend both sessions.  However, if you can only attend one of the two, please let us know when you RSVP below.

Participants are also invited to take part in our memorial installation on October 7 at 6:15 pm.

Thank you to all who RSVP'd! This form is now closed.
