Tefilla Goals

Through the use of various melodies, Jewish texts, meditation, stories and dialogue we will enable our students to:

1. Connect with themselves, with the community, and with God. 
2. Create prayer space as sacred space internally and externally.  This sacred space is reliant on the individuals who make up the community to a make it meaningful for them individually and for the group. 
3. Apply/incorporate what they learn in their Hebrew classes and experience the beauty of prayer.
4. Learn the alternate melodies for each prayer that reflect what is happening in the world, the community, the make up of the praying community, the time of day, and the time of year.
